Am-Tran purchased by current management
Am-Tran was purchased by its current management team, with many employees still part of the team today.
Shift to healthcare logistics
Am-Tran shifted its focus from being the primary interoffice courier for FedEx Office to healthcare when it started working with Stanford Medical Center.
First pharmacy customer
A new partnership with LPCH Pharmacy marked our expansion into pharmacy logistics with our couriers pulling, packing and delivering pharmacy supplies on a large scale for the first time.
Added a medical logistics expert to the management team
We hired Ted Heller, former Kaiser materials manager. Ted’s experience in medical logistics enabled Am-Tran to achieve higher quality in terms of understanding medical deliveries
Launched a new method for improving logistics efficiency
When Marin Medical Labs and Marin Health (formerly Marin General Hospital) hired us to handle their logistics, we launched the first combined routing system, which created better efficiency than either doing it themselves.
Expanded on-demand capabilities for frozen specimens
A new partnership with Machaon Diagnostics marked the first time our on-demand network of drivers reached a scale that enabled broad regional deliveries of frozen specimens.
Improved inter-departmental logistics offerings
We were hired by UCSF, a multifaceted assignment that provided first great opportunity to combine individual departmental requirements into cross department routes
Expanded into Santa Clara County
A new partnership with Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for routed and on-demand service expanded our footprint in Santa Clara County.
Expanded East Bay coverage
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center hired us for on-demand and routed service spanning 60 miles from CCRMC facilities. This extended our East Bay coverage.
Increased pharmacy logistics capabilities
A new partnership with One Point Pharmacy marked our expansion into large scale pharmaceutical delivery throughout the Greater Bay Area, including on-site sorting and scanning.
Expanded pharmacy offerings to Marin County
By the Bay Health (formerly Hospice by the Bay) hired us to rebuild a pharmacy delivery network for Marin County, ultimately expanding to office routes.
COVID-19
Established a dynamic route network that enabled multiple customers to scale their mobile testing sites as demand fluctuated.
Expanded into biotech
We were hired by Gilead Sciences, our first significant entry into biotech deliveries
Began operations in Los Angeles
Established a presence in Los Angeles
Grew our South Bay footprint
We were hired by El Camino Health, which expanded our South Bay footprint and increased efficiency for all South Bay customers.
